New NIH Policies on Clinical Trials
The NIH has implemented some key reforms and initiatives to enhance clinical trials stewardship to improve the quality and efficiency of clinical trials NIH funds. This reform also provides opportunities to translate more innovation and accelerate discoveries that will advance human health. The following policies represent the first of a series of new initiatives applicable to investigators who want to propose one or more clinical trials for funding through the NIH grant process:
- NIH Policy on the Dissemination of NIH-Funded Clinical Trial Information
- Policy on Good Clinical Practice Training for NIH Awardees in NIH-funded Clinical Trials
- Policy on Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOA) for Clinical Trials
- Final NIH Policy on the use of Single Institutional Review Board for Multi-Site Research
