PAR-01-101 and 102 Program Announcements Update 12/9/2002

Investigator initiated applications are encouraged for the all areas described in the scope of these PARs. The intent of this correspondence is to inform investigators that they may consider the following options that are also within the scope of these PAR's.

  1. Investigator initiated applications may be submitted that include development and optimization of imaging systems, methods and research resources that complement the goals of NCI funded Co-operative Agreements (Uo1's or U54's).
  2. The PAR's state that investigator initiated applications may budget to make a limited number of copies of a prototype. In addition, investigator initiated applications may include the development and optimization of imaging systems and methods on a new generation of the same commercial platform or on different platforms. The intent of the PAR scope is to permit the development and optimization of appropriate systems and methods to facilitate single and multi-site small animal or clinical investigations.
  3. Investigator initiated applications may include development and optimization of imaging systems, methods and resources needed to support other NCI centers such as the SAIRPS and ICMICs.

Investigators are encouraged to contact program staff before submitting applications.
